The Origin Story

I am extremely proud to be sharing with you today the upcoming publication of my book, the Textbook of Naturopathic Oncology: A Desktop Guide of Integrative Cancer Care. I started writing this book because I have long needed a “go to” desktop reference for the cancer focused work that I do every day in my practice. Despite there being good cancer care references out there, I couldn’t find a singular resource that pulled together all of the naturopathic and integrative treatments available and analyzed their efficacy against the current backdrop of best standard of care. So, I decided to create one. I have now been working on this textbook for the past five and half years. My goal was also to create a comprehensive reference text for naturopathic and integrative cancer care physicians worldwide, a tome that pulls from the most up to date studies in existence and presents the findings in a clear, concise, and organized manner. I am eager to share with you this canon, this current and complete synthesis of the knowledge of our profession. I sincerely hope that this textbook serves to further elevate our treatment protocols. Lastly and perhaps most importantly, I wanted to create an information hub to educate our beloved patients. I am constantly reminded about their thirst for information for both how to best manage their symptoms, and how best to treat their cancers, beyond standard of care. I am certain this text will further empower them to increasingly become more active participants in their own care.
